Giampaolo Allocco is a benchmark in Italy for sports design.

In 1999, he founded Delineodesign, distinguishing himself among the new generation of Italian industrial design studios. It’s an agile structure, located in the industrial heart of the Northeast in Montebelluna—the World Sports System District—capable of operating in the international market, collaborating with the biggest global sports brands and beyond. Lavazza, Manfrotto, Wega, Stiga, IFI Industrie, and Augusta Westland have all chosen to partner with him.

He holds courses, workshops, and conferences at major Italian design universities, sharing knowledge gained over many years of experience in industrial and sports design. He has participated as a speaker at the Design Library in Milan, Fondazione Benetton, IUAV Venice, and Politecnico di Milano.

“The designer’s task, my task, is to bring this interplay of balances to life and to know how to narrate it with poetry and intelligence, so that others too can enjoy it.”

Followed by mass media and the printed press, he has been a guest on several television programs in the field of Industrial Design, giving numerous interviews to prominent journalists, including those in the sports sector.

Eclectic and unconventional are terms that distinguish him. The vastness of the sectors he has worked in is truly inexhaustible, ranging from the design of ski boots to helicopters. Over time, Allocco has successfully expanded his area of expertise, also operating in more economically attractive and highly visible areas such as Furniture, Lighting Design, Food, Garden, and Digital. Without losing his DNA linked to research on materials, processes, and production solutions, he has collaborated with Gaber, Gruppo Doimo, Bosa Ceramiche, Manfrotto, Zava, Ecce-Ci, and Vetrerie Riunite Verona.

“You cannot consider aesthetics unless it is linked to functionality, practicality, and its durability over time. This applies to any human-object relationship.” — G. Allocco

He is unusual in the current Italian landscape due to his technical experience and his ability to support companies across all areas of expertise: entrepreneurial, design, related to manufacturing “know-how,” and also in building identity, brand, and commercial and distribution capabilities.
